What is wellness?
Wellness is having a sense of vitality and overall well-being in life.
Everything you do, think, feel, and believe impacts your state of health.
Wellness depends on balancing the emotional, physical, intellectual, social,
occupational, spiritual and cross-cultural aspects of one's life.
A change in any one of these components affects the others.
Being responsible for your health means making choices and adopting habits and
behaviors that will ensure wellness.
|
"The concept of total wellness recognizes that our every thought,
word, and behavior affects our greater health and well-being. And we,
in turn, are affected not only emotionally but also physically and
spiritually."
